I have been working out for two months now and seeing weight loss results about every week to week and a half. I have been counting my calorie intake and output and everyday I burn more then I eat. Anyway, my question is that over the past two weeks I have still been watching my calories but have stayed at the same weight all two weeks long. What is happening? Could this be weight loss still but muscle gain? I am confused because I am still burning an extra 500-800 calories a day, depending on the day. I should still be losing the weight.
Why is it that everytime I ask a weight loss question I get these stupid people telling me about pills. I don’t want to take pills I want to do it on my own. I just had a simple question and out of the five people who answered, did not obtain to my question.

You have probably been gaining muscle all along, rather than suddenly. You have most likely hit a plateau as many people do…your body has just decided to try to do its darndest to stay exactly the way it is. I have seen lots of different suggestions for beating plateaus…it seems to work differently for everyone.
One of the most fun suggestions I have seen is to eat a bit more for a week or two…kind of trick your body into thinking happy days are here again and it doesn’t have to worry about conserving calories to keep you alive. Also, changing up your exercise routine…or even resting an extra day…may help shake up your plateau.

Plateau! now it will be a matter of confusing your body and proper nutrition, that happens to man a lot when they’re in the verge of breaking the 10% body fat wall. Since you’re a female it would be more helpful if you list your stats including body fat.
Remember this: There’s a lot of “know and all” out there saying “you’re gaining muscle”, that may be indeed however a pound of muscle is 3x smaller than a pound of fat so do the math. You have been loosing weight every week or week and a half. how much weight? You must burn appx 3500 cals to loose a pound.
Another thing; is to weight would be to wake up go pee and the weight yourself naked, do that once a week, my nutritionist tells me to do it every 2 weeks, but I do it every morning because I’m an athlete.
I hope this helps

I found weight loss goes like that. You are building lean muscle and losing fat. It will start to fall off again soon. As long as you burn more than you take in you will lose weight. The exercise will make what is left behind look better. Don’t get discouraged.
